Privacy & data

What Meetingpad stores about you, where, and why. Short version: the minimum we need for the product to work.

What stays on your Mac

  • Free/busy computation runs locally via EventKit — event titles, participants, and notes never leave your Mac unless mirrored or booked.
  • Local preferences: which calendars are enabled, the Work Calendar destination, last-seen poll vote IDs.

What we store on our server

  • Your account (email address, name, Clerk user ID).
  • Identities you've connected: label, timezone, encrypted OAuth refresh token per Google account.
  • Event types you've configured (duration, hours, description).
  • Polls you've created and votes cast on them (voter name, email, chosen slots).
  • Bookings made through your links (guest name, email, chosen time).
  • Your encrypted Anthropic API key (Pro only, if set).

What we don't store

  • Your calendar's event contents — we compute against them locally.
  • Your Google account password or session cookies.
  • Your prompts to Claude — those go directly from our server to Anthropic under your key and aren't logged by us.

Where the data lives

Our server runs on a Hostinger VPS in the EU (Amsterdam region). Backups run nightly, encrypted at rest, retained 14 days.

Data export & deletion

Menubar → Settings → Account → Export my data gives you a JSON dump of everything we have on you. Delete account removes it all within 30 days (immediate for identity data, 30-day recovery window for polls/bookings for legal audit reasons).
